In Craft + Construct, students will explore a wide variety of crafting techniques and materials while also getting the chance to build and invent during special project weeks. With an emphasis on creativity, self-expression, and collaboration, this club encourages kids to make, explore, and grow. Each session supports social-emotional learning and builds confidence—all while having fun and creating something unique!

Geometry with Prentice Hall Geometry – California
This rigorous, full-year, college-prep course introduces students to fundamental concepts in geometry: reasoning and proof, parallel and perpendicular lines, congruent triangles, relationships within triangles, quadrilaterals, similarity, right triangles and trigonometry, transformations, area and volume, circles. Students develop their critical reasoning skills, learn proper use of graphing calculators, and begin to use postulates and theorems to justify their mathematical reasoning. Includes options for students to justify their solutions and analyze the reasoning of others, equipping them with peer review skills applicable to subsequent mathematics courses and analytical career paths. -

First Thursday of the Month

Each month, students will read or listen to a selected novel and participate in guided discussions aligned with California ELA standards. Together we’ll explore plot, character development, symbolism, and more, while completing written activities to deepen understanding. Regular attendance builds strong literary analysis skills.
The first meeting is Thursday, October 2nd. The first book is The Giver by Lois Lowry—please read before the first meeting.
